East Bay Holds National Tax Day Rally in Walnut Creek on

Sat. April 15

Signs, street theater & music all focused on Trump’s taxes

In Walnut Creek, CA, a middle class suburb, East Bay residents expressed their views about President Trump withholding his tax returns which he promised to share during the campaign. The Contra Costa Tax Day Rally and March joined with hundreds of other marches and rallies across the US.

The rally demonstrates that a suburban community, with varying political affiliations, can join in telling the President that we want him to join every President since Richard M. Nixon in sharing some form of his Tax Returns. 74% of the American public want this.  Without his returns, Americans are in the dark about Trump’s conflicts of interest, his foreign entanglements and whether he even pays any taxes at all. We rallied to remind Donald Trump that he works for us now.

As Mary Linton, one of the organizers of the day, said, “We need a president who works for all Americans and a tax system that does, too. Until Trump comes clean and releases his tax returns, the people will keep asking: What are you hiding?”

The rally and march was coordinated by the Contra Costa MoveOn organization.  Go to for more information.
